Digitalising and retouching of archive images
Vision-IT AG offers a new service for digitalising and retouching of archive images. Using this service, enterprises can prevent their valuable photos and slides being destroyed in the course of time. Already existing damages can often be repaired by retouching.
Unique photographs from the past, kept as photo positives or slides are often irreplaceable. But much material is stored in some archive, abandoned to the ravages of time which will inevitably damage the material. Therefore, preserving the company’s picture material as a part of the corporate heritage is an issue in many long-standing enterprises.
By using historic images in communication, you may increase significantly the credibility of values such as tradition and reliability of a company. Images expressing these values are priceless assets. But hidden and badly accessible in physical photo archives they remain worthless.
As a managed service Vision-IT offers unmatched digitalisation, retouching and indexing of photo positives, negatives and slides. Scans are carried out on modern and calibrated scanners and retouched with regard to scratches, colour fault, and colour damages.
Vision-IT returns the standardised digital masters in best quality and reference to the physical original. If needed, Vision-IT also transcribes metadata of the content and imports metadata and images into storage systems such as Media Asset Management solutions.
