Agilysys Releases the DataMagine Document Management Solution Version 6.2
Agilysys, Inc. , provider of enterprise computer technology solutions, announced enhanced features and functionality to the DataMagine document management solution, 6.2 version. The new functionality internationalizes the product by offering multi-language capability, with the addition of double-byte character sets. DataMagine 6.2 provides customers expanded web search, scan and indexing capabilities for ease-of-use, greater Docflow module administration abilities and increased report archiving functionality.
"The DataMagine 6.2 version combines key enhancements based on listening closely to our customers' feedback with entirely new multi-language capability inspired by top business trends," said Tina Stehle, vice president and general manager, Agilysys Enterprise Solutions Group (ESG). "By offering double-byte character sets in our DataMagine solution, we're helping customers break down the language barriers and conduct business more effectively overseas."
New International Functionality
With the globalization of today's businesses, the DataMagine 6.2 version offers the important ability to support multiple languages. Specifically, this enhanced version provides support for most European languages as well as double-byte character sets such as Chinese and Japanese. The multi-language feature enables an organization's divisions around the world to share information and manage projects regardless of the language barrier.
Expanded Web Search, Scanning and Indexing Capabilities Provide Ease-of- Use
The new Web Scan & Index module allows users to perform certain client- specific functions by means of a web browser, reducing the need for manual software installation for remote users or sites. Web scanning and indexing is further enhanced with an intuitive interface allowing users to easily scan and index documents immediately, scan documents into batches for processing at a later date or index batches using a defined process. Greater usability also includes the capacity to place annotations or custom stamps on electronic files as well as the ability to e-mail and print documents. All this functionality is complemented with many levels of security, providing reassurance that an organization's scanned, indexed and retrieved documents are accessible only to authorized personnel.
Enhanced Docflow Module Administration Capabilities
Based on customer feedback, the new DataMagine 6.2 version now provides refined job management filtering capabilities. Docflow module administrators now can filter by: a job name, business process templates, current inbox, job creation date and even job status. This provides management and customer- facing employees instant access to documents and files directly from their desktops. It also helps companies streamline the internal quote, invoice and contract approval process.
Increased Reporting Archiving Functionality
The DataMagine Report Archive module addresses the administrator's needs by running as a Microsoft Windows service. The new solution provides administrators the ability to monitor multiple host servers, archive system generated reports and documents and IBM System i (AS/400(R)) spool files, including Chinese Traditional double-byte spool files, as well as create daily e-mail progress reports for the dissemination to key users. 23.02.2007, Agilysys, Inc.
