The company announced their upcoming appearance at the Microsoft European SharePoint Conference in Berlin, Germany from February 12-14

At that conference they will be highlighting one of their key initiatives and launching one other. Of particular interest at this conference will be their showcase of their new Connectors for the recently launched Microsoft Office SharePoint Server [MOSS] 2007. According to Aaron Nettles, CEO of VORSITE, "With all of the interest that has been gathering surrounding this latest edition of SharePoint and with it’s highly anticipated launch, we have had a ground swell of customer requests to develop this, our latest edition of our highly valued search connector technology."

The VORSITE Connectors give users a single point of access to content held in disparate line-of-business systems through the SharePoint interfaces. This allows for more robust compliance policy enforcement while making content available across the entire enterprise regardless of what desktop environment is used.

Mr. Nettles went on to say, "today the importance for the enterprise organizations to create a truly connected enterprise has become a far more than just a buzz word. It is now a matter of critical business survival. With this set of connectors, information workers within an enterprise can leverage the full power of Microsoft Enterprise Search to deliver robust search results through simplified access that improves productivity and return on business assets."

One additional announcement that will be profiled at the Berlin Conference will be the recently announced VORSITE Alliance Partner Program. This program is designed to permit System Integrators, consultants, software manufacturers, value added resellers, as well as storage, search and capture hardware manufacturers with complementary services and technologies to build an additional line of business and profit center through the use of the VORSITE solutions and technologies.

Aaron Nettles noted that VORSITE has created this program, expressly to create opportunities for organizations to "extend their market reach, reduce costs, increase profitability so that they may be better positioned to help their customers achieve the types of business solutions they need in today’s highly competitive business environment."
