Captovation, a developer of document and check capture software, announces integration support between its Captovation Capture product suite and Stellent Universal Content Management (UCM). Implemented together, Captovation Capture and Stellent UCM offer a complete document management system providing clients with the ability to capture, index and archive electronic and paper-based content.

The integration is accomplished through a Captovation Capture Commit Driver. Administrators configure a Stellent UCM commit profile in Capture Administration where index fields can be easily mapped to Stellent UCM Content Server metadata fields. During document commits, the commit driver automatically creates a document record in the UCM Content Server and uploads the corresponding document.

Additional features of this integration include:

- Multiple document format support (multiple-page TIFFs, image-only PDFs, or searchable PDFs).
- Utilizes Stellent UCM Web Services to provide a firewall-friendly method to archive documents into UCM Content Server.
- Dynamically assign a type, security, and account value for a document based on an index field value. For example, if a user selects Invoice from a pick-list while indexing in Capture, the document's type might be assigned ACCTG (accounting).

"We are now proud to have direct integrations for both Stellent Universal Content Management and Stellent Imaging and Business Process Management (IBPM)," said Ken Peterka, Captovation's President and CEO. "We currently have many Captovation Capture customers using the product with their IBPM system, and I feel that UCM customers will find much value in doing so as well."
