DCMI (www.dcmi.co.uk) was launched today to help solve the problems of data centre migration within IT organisations worldwide. The company is launching one of the best software solutions available to dramatically reduce the workload, risk and cost of data centre migration.

The DCMI technology and methodology enables organisations to save up to 60% of the time and up to 40% of the effort required to consolidate or migrate their data centres.

DCMI is also announcing its relationship with Unisys, the company's first specialist Systems Integrator. DCMI and Unisys are initially entering into an arrangement covering the United Kingdom, but with potential to expand to a global agreement. The deal will allow Unisys access to DCMI's technology, methodologies and experience in reducing the workload, risk and cost of data centre migration.

Clive Croft, Sales Manager at Unisys commented: "Unisys is in a very strong position as the first Systems Integrator to work with DCMI's solution, which combined with the Unisys Discovery and Assessment tools will give us a head-start in the emerging market for data centre migration software. The DCM software is something that IT organisations have been crying out for and we are confident that most IT professionals will very quickly recognise the significant benefits this solution can deliver to any data centre project."

Martin Williams, founder of DCMI commented: "I have undertaken several data centre moves and I know from first-hand experience that data centre migration and consolidation is extremely complex and expensive. It always seemed odd to me that there was no software solution to make it an easier and cheaper process. By solving those problems, we have made it an easy choice for IT organisations to use DCMI rather than the more time-consuming and expensive methods used currently."

Martin Williams has brought together an experienced management team to drive the business forward. DCMI's management team now brings a combined total of over 90 years of IT experience to the data centre migration issue and includes hands-on experience from HP, EMC, Oracle, Lehman Bros, UBS, Deutsche Bank and Reuters.
