Integrated Solution Offers Fast, Reliable, Cost-effective Storage and Access
Mobius Management Systems, Inc., provider of software for total content management (TCM), and Sun Microsystems announced the integration of the Mobius ViewDirect TCM software suite with the Sun Microsystems StorEdge 5310/5310C Compliance Archiving System. This high-volume, high-performance solution cost-effectively and efficiently manages all traditional corporate records, e-mail and content in any format from any source and ensures its integrity, reliability and long-term availability. It makes content available to support business operations and it mitigates the risks and costs associated with legal and regulatory compliance.
The integrated solution addresses customer challenges of managing growing volumes of diverse content and records while satisfying the need for rapid retrieval and high availability not possible with optical media. Together, the Mobius ViewDirect TCM suite and Sun StorEdge offer an affordable, long-term management and storage solution that enables customers to improve customer service, minimize risk exposure, eliminate isolated content silos, and protect against data loss.
ViewDirect TCM integrates enterprise content in a consolidated repository or through access to multiple, disparate repositories and includes a complete suite of content-centric applications that enable regulatory compliance and automate business processes. ViewDirect TCM scales from the desktop to the enterprise. Implementations range from departmental applications to multi-server systems with hundreds of thousands of users and billions of documents. Sun’s 5310 Compliance Archiving System delivers a complete and highly available long-term solution. High-capacity serial ATA disks with WORM (non-erasable, non-rewritable) technology provide cost-effective, highly scalable capacity as well as the high-speed access and dependability that will mitigate legal risk while assuring that regulatory requirements are met.
