Solimar Systems, Inc., aprovider of production printing and secure Electronic Document Delivery and Management (EDDM) solutions, announced the release of SOLsearcher™ Single Platform (SP), a powerful and highly secure electronic document distribution solution that enables organizations to effectively index, store, search and retrieve large collections of transactional documents. The new SOLsearcher SP edition features the entire suite of SOLsearcher product components installed on a single computer. Designed to complement existing print and Enterprise Content Management workflows and eliminate labor-intensive paper-based business processes, SOLsearcher SP allows users to securely access critical business documents and reports via an intranet or secure portal.

SOLsearcher SP version 2.19 introduces support for importing and exporting SOLsearcher applications. This new functionality allows organizations to easily create backup versions before upgrading their systems, and/or quickly migrate applications to other SOLsearcher systems, including Solimar’s highly scalable SOLsearcher™ Enterprise EDDM solution. "This new ‘standalone’ version of SOLsearcher is optimized for the low and
mid-volume production environment, but can also serve as a departmental system or provide a parallel pilot environment to support high volume SOLsearcher Enterprise implementations,” explains Mary Ann Rowan, Solimar Vice President of Sales and Marketing.

Version 2.19 of SOLsearcher SP also adds new support for capturing external index data that was not originally contained within the document. This capability enhances the retrieval process by providing users with the ability to expand their search criteria to include sensitive information such as Social Security numbers and/or account numbers, even if the data is not visible on the original document.

Additionally, v2.19 includes support for importing network user groups from Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) servers, allowing System Administrators to reuse and leverage previously established authorization and security rights. "Automating business processes by synchronizing users and profiles with existing management and security systems via SOLsearcher’s LDAP support allows our customers to streamline their operations and be more productive," says Rowan.

Available immediately, SOLsearcher SP v2.19 further demonstrates Solimar Systems’ continued commitment to deliver powerful solutions for its customers by providing the ability to secure, distribute and manage high volume transactional documents electronically via the Web.
