VoyagerSoft, LLC, creator of Solid Documents products, announced the release of Solid Print PDF, version 1.0. Solid Print PDF is a low-cost solution for converting Word files, Excel spreadsheets, PowerPoint presentations, and more to secure Portable Document Format (PDF) files without the need to buy expensive Adobe® Acrobat®.

Solid Print’s PDF-creating capabilities let users save documents to PDFs from practically any Windows program. Since it works through a standard printer driver, creating a PDF is as simple as printing a document. Before the PDF is generated, users can view the document in a preview window to ensure accuracy. Document security can also be added to the PDF output file by assigning user and owner passwords.

Greater control over document layout is another key benefit of Solid Print PDF. Layout customization options include the ability to combine multiple pages into one and remove unwanted document pages from the PDF output. Users can also compress PDFs into smaller versions for e-mailing or use on the Web.

"Solid Print PDF gives users powerful and affordable document management capabilities,” said Michael Cartwright, CEO of VoyagerSoft. "Documents can easily be edited and maintained in their original format. Then by printing those documents as PDFs, users can customize them for distribution by adding password security or file compression.”

VoyagerSoft also offers the highly successful Solid Converter® PDF to Word, the complete solution for converting PDF documents to editable Word files and back again. The company's other products include Solid Capture, Solid Converter® DWG, and Solid Converter® GX.
