This additional new module will allow prospective and existing Local Authority Planning Department users of Serengeti’s Electronic Document Management Solution, e-intranet, to enjoy additional specific functionality to simply and effectively meet the requirements of the Pendleton Associates Report.

The information relating to Planning Applications is typically contained within the Planning Application System (e.g. CAPS Uni-form 7, MVM, Swift LG, etc) and will comprise details about the Application and all of the data related to the stages of the progress of the Application. These documents and associated data are held securely within the core e-intranet document management solution and provided to the user upon request.

A materialised view of the data contained within the Planning Application System database is taken at regular intervals and this data is then made available in a searchable format for the Public to access through the Public Access Module.

e-intranet Public Access Module displays planning Application data and documents to the public through a user friendly customisable browser based interface. All documents are held in their native formats, typically TIFF format and rendered to PDF automatically for ease of viewing within the browser.
