Top Image Systems GmbH, a subsidiary of Top Image Systems Ltd., innovator of intelligent document recognition, announced that Festo AG & Co. KG has chosen TIS' eFLOW platform as their document automation solution.

Top Image Systems (TIS) provides automated data capture solutions that improve enterprise business processes by integrating data from multiple sources and of different types, such as invoices, freight and shipping bills, purchase orders, and others. TIS solutions seamlessly deliver the extracted data to enterprise applications such as document and content management, ERP, or CRM.

Festo group is a major worldwide manufacturer of electronic automation systems with pneumatic components. Festo, headquartered in Germany, operates in 176 countries with more than 10,000 employees and offers specialized customer-specific system solutions and services for industrial automation and engineering.

Through cooperation with TIS, Festo has implemented a worldwide system to automatically capture approximately 5000 fax-POs per day, thus to increase the process speed of each PO and reduce its processing costs. The extracted information is automatically delivered into SAP R/3 and IXOS.

TIS' team has vast knowledge and experience in various ERP and CRM systems. Based on that knowledge, eFLOW was developed to seamlessly integrate with SAP and other legacy software systems, thereby allows a bi-directional stream of information. Consequently, efficient and quick data processing and confirmation is available for POs, invoices and related documents. Recently, Festo chose to upgrade their system to the newly released eFLOW Version 3, the latest version of the company's signature software, eFLOW Unified Content Platform. The enhanced solution includes the ability to sort the incoming information, classify all documents, automatically recognize and extract the data from documents, apply the organization's business rules, validate the data, and seamlessly deliver these data to back-end enterprise systems.

"Festo has a long and proud corporate history. In order to maintain our leadership in a highly competitive industry, we were looking for the right technology to reduce invoice processing time and cost," said Martin Becker, Leader of Office Automation at Festo. "TIS' eFLOW's flexibility and ability to handle any country-specific document, including multi-page, multi-language, multi-tax and multi-currency options, fit our goals perfectly. eFLOW seamlessly integrated with our internal systems, including SAP and IXOS, thus allowing an easy and quick implementation while preventing any delays in our daily operation."

TIS' CEO, Dr. Ido Schechter, commented, "TIS is proud to support Festo in its aim to achieve greater efficiency in its account payable processes. Our software has continuously proven its value for international organizations with complex operations like Festo. With eFLOW solution, Festo is able to completely streamline document processing. We look forward to continue working with Festo, as its needs grow, by adding different document types and applications to its automated workflow. All are available within the eFLOW Unified Content Platform solution."
