Mobius Management Systems, Inc. announced that it has been positioned by industry analyst Gartner, Inc. in the leader quadrant in the Magic Quadrant for the integrated document archive and retrieval systems (IDARS) market. According to Gartner, leaders are performing well today, have a clear vision of market direction and are actively building competencies to sustain their leadership position in the market.

The report notes market factors such as the convergence of IDARS and enterprise content management (ECM) and recognizes the strong market presence of leaders’ installed base. According to Gartner: “These strategic vendors will continue to drive the IDARS market by broadening their product functionality and integration.” (The full report is available at www.mobius.com.)

Mobius has historically offered highly scalable IDARS solutions that have achieved industry recognition for their scope of functionality and breadth of supported formats. Over the last several years, new capabilities have been added for Web content management, workflow, content integration and, in 2004, robust e-mail and records management solutions. Today, the company offers ViewDirect® TCM, a comprehensive suite for total content management that supports regulatory compliance, integrates content across disparate repositories, and provides content-enabled applications that automate business processes.

"As enterprise content management evolves, the power of the repository plays an ever more dominant role,” commented Mitch Gross, president and CEO of Mobius. “In both IDARS and ECM markets, vendors that can manage the explosive growth of content—both computer-generated and human-generated—can deliver the greatest long-term value to the customer, especially as document collaboration tools become commoditized by the major infrastructure providers, such as Microsoft.”

“Mobius’s long-recognized ability to support high-performance requirements and the expanded functionality of our ‘total content management’ suite allow us to address all our customers’ content-centric application requirements,” Gross continued. “ViewDirect TCM is the most comprehensive suite available, including fully integrated solutions for content integration, e-mail and records management, information lifecycle management, Web content management, imaging and workflow, e-presentment, rich media, and a compliance module that ensures the accuracy of enterprise information.”
