AutoCapture - "Right click" your documents into your DM Solutions
Most organization now have a formalized document and content management system in place. The challenge now is to capture as much content into these system in proper, organized manner such that the content can be used by knowledge workers.
Many DMS vendors provide an easy to use file/save method into their document management systems much like saving a file into a shared network drive, however such practices increases the risk of lost document or miss-filing of the documents. Using AutoCapture a network administrator can provide most complex formalized capture workflows to the end user as a single button to click on.
Integrated as a source into AutoStore framework, AutoCapture is a simple to use, XML/SOAP based capture platform enabling users to capture content of all types from their desktop PC, Handheld devices as well as other sources. As an example, a user can right click on a file, select from the available workflows and capture a word document directly into the server based workflow.
AutoCapture - BenefitsAutoCapture lets administrators create server based capture workflows and associated such workflows with existing groups of users within an organization. From the AutoStore Process Designer (APD) an administrator creates workflow menus and forms designed around specific rules based capture workflow, such as a resume capture workflow for the human resources group.
All the users have to do is to right click on their document and they will capture workflows that are available to their user groups as part of the properties of the file, they can then select the appropriate menu, enter requested metadata/index data and capture their documents into the workflow. With a simple click, the users can capture the document into a server based AutoStore workflow that can perform various post-capture process tasks such as Transform Into Searchable PDF, Encryption and others once documents are processed, they can be routed to all supported AutoStore route documents such as Documentum, SharePoint and others. | | | |
